About Us
Nomads by nature, Karma Canvas anchored its first tent pegs in the UK over 15 years ago, before landing on the sunny shores of Byron Bay in 2017 – introducing travellers, festival-goers, and tourism entrepreneurs alike to the idea of luxury outdoor experiences.
A family owned business, our mission is to reimagine camping with a range of luxury and sustainable bell tents and eco glamping accessories, consciously created to protect the great outdoors for future generations of adventurers.
With lofty ceilings and natural fibres, our bell tents combine traditional forms with durable modern-day materials, striking a perfect balance of design, craftsmanship, and knowledge of Australia’s climate and iconic landscape.
Commune with family and friends under the stars, or realise the potential of your own backyard with a unique Airbnb or guest retreat like no other. We invite you to explore and share the healing power of nature; we promise you’ll never look back.
Why Choose Karma Canvas?
We are nomads by nature
With 15 years of on-the-ground experience, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, making it easy to navigate your way back to nature. Whether you need assistance setting up your new tent, or advice on the best camping spots, we are here to help.
We are for the planet
Our bell tents are made with 100% natural unbleached cotton fibres, consciously designed to take you off-grid for many years to come. Cotton canvas is hardwearing, mould resistant, and makes for a light and airy shelter. The fabric is treated to protect against mould, UV rays and rain whilst being fire retardant - Karma Canvas bell tents are made to withstand all seasons, so you and your family can safely get away year-round. By comparison, polyester tents (often used once and discarded) are not biodegradable, and end up in our oceans or landfill. Polyester production may also leech pollutants in our water, air and soil supplies, which can become infiltrated with micro plastics and harmful chemicals.
We are family owned and operated
A family owned and operated business; we like to pay it forward by working with and supporting other family run businesses in our supply chain and logistics.
We are here for good, and for good!
Our minimalist tent designs are made with natural materials that withstand the test of time. Founded in 2009, our philosophy is to help reconnect people with nature while protecting our precious resources and leaving the lightest footprint possible.
